    SageSure Insurance Managers has an opportunity for an Associate Underwriter to join our growing company in the Tallahassee, FL office.  The major function of this position is to enhance decision making skills, including the use of underwriting judgement, delegated underwriting authority and support of Underwriting team members.

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Service Desk Portal Tickets: Post-Inspection reinstatement requests, Scheduled Personal Property additions, Policy corrections (i.e. Address, Named Insured), Section I & II coverage changes
    • Reviewing Scrubbed Inspections, and acting if conditions from original policy are unresolved
    • Conducting property inspections based on Stack Codes
    • Providing new business referrals based on authority granted
    • Reviewing weekly and monthly Carrier Claim Reports
    • Providing Underwriters with detailed claim information
    • Conducting Agency Document Retention Audits, obtaining and confirming Agents are retaining the proper documents
    • Compiling GEICO Self Service Audits whereby verifying GEICO is following guidelines/authority
    • Performing Renewal Underwriting Reviews of roof inspections and loss history

     

    We're looking for someone who:

    • has 2 years of Customer Service and/or Underwriting Support experience
    • can work independently and as a team member
    • has good verbal and written communication skills
    • has solid analytical and decision-making skills
    • thrives in fast paced changing environment and use technology to achieve efficiencies

     

    Qualified candidates have:

    • a working knowledge of SageSure & partner systems including Policy Central, PXQuote, Inspection Vendors, Carrier Claim Sites, MSB Express, Confluence
    • a bachelor's degree in related field is a plus
    • experience working with insurance software and MS Office Suite
